Favored Virgin Michael gets Win

New York — Virgin Michael, the odds-on favorite, won the $326,000 Allez France feature Thursday at Aqueduct by a half-length over My Girl Jeannie.

The winner, ridden by Jacinto Vasquez, covered the 1 1/16-mile race in 1:45 4/5 and returned $3, $2.60 and $2.20. The victory, Virgin Michael’s third in five starts this year, was worth $21,000.
