A 42-year-old transient has been arrested on suspicion of threatening his younger brother with an ice pick, police said.
Valion Randy Jordan was arrested at a Thousand Oaks restaurant, where he fled after trying to slash his 28-year-old brother with an ice pick during a family argument, said Lt. Bill Montijo of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Jordan’s brother, whom police did not identify, was not injured in the attack, which occurred in the 2900 block of Molly Court, Montijo said.
At the restaurant, Jordan briefly brandished a screwdriver in an attempt to prevent police from approaching him, Montijo said.
He was being held Thursday in Ventura County Jail in lieu of $10,500 bail.
