Terminal Data Corp., citing restructuring costs, reported an $896,000 loss for its fiscal second quarter compared with a year-earlier loss of $940,000.
The Moorpark-based maker of scanners and other document-imaging equipment said the latest loss in the quarter, which ended March 31, came on a drop in sales to $5.17 million from $6.33 million a year earlier.
The company attributed the latest loss to costs related to cutting its work force, lower sales of certain equipment and additional investments in electronic document-imaging products.
In the first half of its fiscal year, Terminal Data lost $1.52 million compared with an $861,000 loss a year ago. Its six-month sales fell to $10.3 million from $11.9 million.
