Bobby Brown’s Father Charged With Rape: The father of singer Bobby Brown has been charged with raping one 16-year-old girl and assaulting another in an Australian hotel room, police said Thursday. Herbert James Brown, 60, was released on $40,000 bail after appearing in Brisbane’s Magistrate Court, and was ordered to return for an Aug. 20 hearing. The court was told that Herbert Brown has been accompanying his son on an Australian tour. Herbert Brown has denied having sexual contact with the girl, the court was told.
