Pic ‘N’ Save Sells Stores: The company has sold its 14 Job Lot Pushcart stores in New York and New Jersey to New York-based Job Lot Trading Co., the previous owners. Pic ‘N’ Save said it bought the 14 stores for the listed value of the properties in December, 1988, and has sold the facilities back to Job Lot for the original purchase price. Pic ‘N’ Save, based in Dominguez, said the stores were sold because sales did not meet expectations. Pic ‘N’ Save still retains 176 discount retail stores.
