Darius (Doc) Young, a U.S. citizen residing in Alberta, Canada, won an Olympic slot for the United States at the world shooting championships in Moscow.
Young got 579 out of a possible 600 points in the men’s air pistol event to finish eighth. The U.S. now has a reserved position in the men’s air-pistol event at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.
