Stock Exchanges Set Up Formal Ties: The Pacific Stock Exchange and the Taiwan Stock Exchange announced that they have set up formal links by becoming “sister exchanges,” the first such agreement between American and Asian trading centers. Leopold Korins, chairman and chief executive of the PSE, said the pact is designed to produce expanded investment opportunities for investors in both countries and to improve the settlement and regulatory capabilities of both exchanges.
