The LPGA has asked players to skip next year’s J.C. Penney Skins Game because it is the same weekend as the Corning Classic event.
The televised Skins Game is scheduled for May 25 and 26, said Lee Robbins, chairman of the Corning, N.Y., tournament. The two events also coincided last spring, the first year of the LPGA Skins Game. Last year the LPGA sanctioned the Skins Game after reaching an agreement with Corning officials that the conflict would not arise again.
