Two Jobs for Dutoit: Charles Dutoit, the artistic director of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, said Tuesday in Montreal that he has accepted an invitation to lead l’Orchestre National de France at the same time. When he extended his contract in May with the Montreal symphony until 1993, Dutoit said he wanted to conduct a European orchestra concurrently. The Swiss-born conductor will be in charge of the French orchestra’s musical programming beginning this month and will conduct it for 12 weeks a year from 1992-95.
