Make That Commander Nicholson: Jack Nicholson, 53, in Paris on Monday was named Commander of Arts and Letters, France’s top award for excellence in the arts. “Your angular eyebrows, your ironic smile, your taste for exaggeration have etched out characters who are memorable, sometimes satanic,” Culture Minister Jack Lang said at the ceremony.
