SENECA, S.C. — Max Hedglin is anything but a wallflower when it comes to expressing his feelings.
He hired a helicopter to drop 2,500 carnations and 10,000 love letters on the lawn of his former girlfriend.
Unfortunately for Hedglin, 38, who owns a convenience store in nearby Greenville, the $3,000 tribute on Saturday failed to take root with Bonnie Adams. But then, a week earlier she had married City Councilman Mike Adams.
Authorities charged Hedglin with littering. On Tuesday, he pulled up outside the Police Department in a stretch limo and paid a $237 bond.
