Fraud Trial of 10 Soybean Traders Begins: Greed motivated 10 Chicago Board of Trade soybean traders to cheat their customers, a federal prosecutor said at the third fraud and racketeering trial stemming from an FBI probe. The trial follows the indictment of a clerk and 18 soybean traders after a 1988 FBI investigation that also covered the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. The clerk and eight other traders have pleaded guilty.
