Judge Preckel Named to Superior Court

Allan J. Preckel was appointed Wednesday to the San Diego County Superior Court, just a year after he left the district attorney’s office to become a Municipal Court judge.
Gov. George Deukmejian appointed Preckel, 43, to replace the late Judge Zalman Scherer. The annual salary for the position is $94,344.
Preckel was a deputy district attorney in San Diego from 1972 to 1989.
