Alfred Kouzel; Academy Award-Winning Cartoonist

Alfred Kouzel, 67, a cartoonist and illustrator who won an Academy Award in 1960 for the adaptation of Juiles Feiffer’s “Munro.” Kouzel worked for most of the major film studios during his career and once had his own company, Ariel Productions. With Eli Bauer he produced such TV specials as “The Muppet Babies,” featuring the Jim Henson characters. In a Trostberg, West Germany, hospital where he was being treated for chest cancer and heart disease on Sept. 6.
