PORT HUENEME : Man Claiming He Has Gun Robs Bank

A man claiming to be armed with a gun robbed a Bank of America branch in Port Hueneme on Friday afternoon and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The robbery occurred at a branch on West Channel Islands Boulevard at 1:20 p.m., a city police spokeswoman said. The robber, described as a Latino in his 20s, approached a teller, presented a demand note and said he was armed with a concealed weapon, which he never showed.
