Tom Johnson, president of Cable News Network, has been nominated to join the board of CNN’s parent company, Turner Broadcasting System. Johnson succeeded Burt Reinhardt as president of CNN in Atlanta in August. Previously, he was publisher of the Los Angeles Times and vice chairman of Times Mirror Co.
