The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce celebrated the 30th birthday of its Walk of Fame with a bash at which celebrities mixed with local merchants, and the chamber’s 1990-91 officers and board of directors were installed.
At the event, held last Friday evening at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, chamber president Larry Kaplan saluted the Walk of Fame as one of the most enduring and popular tourist attractions. Among the recipients of Walk of Fame stars who attended and paid tribute to the famous thoroughfare were Clayton Moore, who played the Lone Ranger on TV, and Johnny Grant, the unofficial mayor of Hollywood.
