Second Eastern Employee Pleads Guilty: An Eastern Airlines foreman at Kennedy Airport has quietly pleaded guilty to falsifying aircraft safety and maintenance records and has agreed to cooperate with authorities, according to court records. Michael Hennessey, Eastern’s general foreman at the airport, admitted to conspiring with other airline employees to falsify log books, work cards and computer records in a scheme that allegedly allowed unsafe aircraft to carry passengers. Hennessey faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. In July, former Eastern foreman Elia Dragone pleaded guilty to conspiracy and obstructing an FAA investigation into the airline.
