HOF, Germany — A massive pileup in dense fog involving more than 200 cars killed 11 people and injured 73 others today, police said.
Some cars caught fire and rescuers needed several hours to clear the wreckage and pull out all the victims.
The crash near this southern German town stopped traffic on the busy highway linking Nuremberg with Berlin for most of the day.
