Alemany 15, Bishop Montgomery 10--Terry Barnum, who rushed for six touchdowns last week, ran for 90 yards in 26 carries and caught a 56-yard touchdown pass for Alemany at Torrance High.
Alemany (4-2, 3-1) capitalized on two Bishop Montgomery fumbles and scored twice in the second quarter on Adam Romandi passes. The first touchdown came on a 19-yard completion to tight end Richard Dice and the second--the 56-yard pass to Barnum--came just before halftime.
Bishop Montgomery (2-5, 0-3) went 67 yards--all on the ground--on its initial possession to take a 7-0 lead and held Alemany to minus-15 yards on its first possession. Joe McEwen ran six yards for Bishop Montgomery’s touchdown.
Romandi completed 10 of 16 passes for 147 yards and Dice, who played with a broken thumb, caught four passes for 58 yards.
