Valley College 20, L.A. Southwest 6--The Monarchs stayed with a proven formula--utilize a solid running game from Clifford Robinson.
The sophomore from L. A. Baptist gained a game-high 86 yards in 10 carries at Valley College. Robinson had surpassed the 100-yard mark in Valley’s other victories.
The win improved the Monarchs’ record to 3-4, 3-3 in conference play and 1-1 in WSC’s Southern Division. L. A. Southwest fell to 3-4, 2-4, 1-1.
Valley rushed for 254 yards, with Andre Hobbs picking up 77 yards in 18 carries and James Keys 43 yards in 15 carries.
