Felicidades to Theater Group: El Teatro Campesino, the Latino theater company founded by playwright and film director Luis Valdez, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Nov. 16 in San Jose with the Feathered Serpent Awards Banquet hosted by comedian Paul Rodriguez. The awards banquet will also feature performances by Linda Ronstadt, Edward James Olmos and Mariachi Los Camperos. Valdez, the company’s artistic director, established the theater company on the picket lines of the Great Delano Grape Strike of 1965 and first performed on the back of flatbed trucks.
