Commodore International Ltd.: The New York-based personal computer maker said it earned $7 million in its first quarter of fiscal 1990 on sales of $200.3 million, a gain of 21% from a year ago. Last year the firm lost $6.5 million in the period. Commodore cited 50% growth in unit sales of the Amiga product line, favorable exchange rates of major European currencies and tightly controlled operating expenses.
