FONTANA — The Fontana Herald-News will close after 67 years of publication because of declining circulation and continued financial losses, the owners announced Wednesday.
The afternoon newspaper will publish its final edition Nov. 9, said Jon Hays, assistant general manager of Press-Enterprise Co. of Riverside, which bought the Herald-News in June, 1989.
The newspaper, published Monday through Friday, has a paid circulation of about 2,100. It served the central San Bernardino Valley since 1923.
