Former hockey star Gordie Howe was sued by the mother of a Fairfield, Conn., man who was killed in a car crash six years ago. The lawsuit was filed in Bridgeport Superior Court by Marguerita LeSerra, mother of John LaBrusciano.
LaBrusciano, 20, died when his car slammed into a tree on the Merritt Parkway in Westport on March 24, 1984.
Police said Howe attempted to pull LaBrusciano from the car but didn’t succeed before the car burst into flames.
