Just Plain Warm

I attended “Foxfire,” the latest Costa Mesa Civic Playhouse production. Unlike “Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All to You (the previous Playhouse production),” the play did not make a stand for homosexuality, abortion or anti-Christianity. It didn’t even contain an anti-America theme. This of course means that the play was totally devoid of any meaningful artistic content. But it was touching and warm and will stay with me a long time. I despise myself for enjoying it.
