Japanese Buying Tahoe Ski Resort: A Japanese group that bought Steamboat Ski Area in Colorado is buying Heavenly Valley Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe, Calif. No price was announced. Heavenly will become Kamori Kanko Co.’s third ski resort. It also owns Rusutsu Kogen in its home city of Sapporo, site of the 1972 Winter Olympics. Owner Bill Killebrew has agreed to stay on as Heavenly’s general manager.
