Antelope Valley Basketball Radio Deal Set

Seven Antelope Valley College basketball games will be broadcast live on radio station KAVL 610 this season. The first broadcast will be Antelope Valley’s opener, Nov. 12 against visiting Glendale, and the regular-season broadcast schedule ends with the season finale Feb. 13 against Desert. Any playoff games also will be broadcast live.
The San Fernando Valley chapter of the National Football Foundation honored three area high school athletes as players of the week: Chatsworth High’s Rayna Stewart, a running back-linebacker; San Fernando’s LaKarlos Townsend, a running back-defensive back; and Reseda’s Edgar Fernandez, a guard-linebacker.
The Pepperdine men’s volleyball team will play an exhibition against UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at Westlake High.
