Golden West Dominates, Wins Water Polo Title

Golden West College, the second-ranked water polo team in the state, defeated Pasadena, 20-3, Saturday at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach to win the South Coast Conference championship.
Edvard Van Luijin had six goals, and Tory Culbertson and Brian Sciacca had three goals apiece for the Rustlers (26-3), who had a 12-1 lead at the half and led 18-1 after three quarters.
In the semifinals and finals, Golden West outscored its opponents, 41-7.
The Rustlers return to Belmont Plaza Friday and Saturday for the Southern California Regional playoffs.
