Hotel Additions

Your listing of New York City small hotels was a good one, to which I would add a candidate: The Lombardy, 111 East 56th St.
For more than 20 years I have stayed at The Lombardy for a number of reasons. It is small, probably less than 200 rooms; quiet; huge bed-sitting rooms, a walk-in closet and a butler’s pantry. Small, uncluttered lobby, excellent service. It is conveniently located to midtown business purposes for shopping, not too far from the theater district and, as you know, a bundle of top restaurants are located all around the hotel.
