Classical East Indian dancer Ramya Harishankar of Irvine has applied for a listing on the Touring Artists Directory of the California Arts Council. The council will reimburse performing arts organizations in the state that present artists on the roster in the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons. Harishankar, director of the Arpana Dance Company, would tour as a soloist. She was the only Orange County artist to apply for the support. Last year, none did.
The Orange County chapter of the American Institute of Architects has elected Dan Heinfeld of Irvine as president, succeeding Dell H. DeRevere of Newport Beach. Roberta W. Jorgensen of Mission Viejo is the new vice president/president-elect, and Howard L. Gilpin of Costa Mesa is the new chief financial officer.
