Rock star Tina Turner, ending her 6 1/2-month “Foreign Affair” concert tour that attracted 3 million fans, says she’s going to take a year off before performing again.
“I’ve always thought this would be the final one, but I must admit I now have mixed feelings,” Turner said through her Los Angeles publicist after Sunday’s final concert of the tour in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
“I’m the first woman to fill all these stadiums, and the feeling from all those fans night after night was fantastic. I don’t want to close that door completely,” said Turner, who turns 52 on Nov. 26.
“I’m going away for about a year and when I’m ready to return I just hope the fans will want whatever I have to offer.”
