Mando Ramos, twice the world lightweight boxing champion, is in serious condition at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, where he is undergoing an evaluation of his heart, a hospital spokesman said.
Ramos, 41, of Westminster, was admitted to the hospital’s intensive care ward Sunday. He won his first title at 20 in 1969, lost the championship in 1970 and won it again in 1972.
