Tokos Medical Says It Lost $1.7 Million in 3rd Quarter

Tokos Medical Corp., the Santa Ana home health-care services company, posted a third-quarter loss of $1.7 million, contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $352,000. Revenue rose 24% to $19.2 million from $15.5 million. The nine-month net loss totaled $1.7 million, contrasted with a $291,000 loss for the comparable 1989 period. Revenue rose 16% to $53.9 million from $46.4 million. The 1990 results included a pretax charge of $2.4 million for expenses related to the merger of Tokos and Physiologic Diagnostic Service Inc. of Atlanta, which was completed in August.
