HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL : USDHS Eases Past Crawford

Top-seeded USDHS eased by Crawford, 15-3, 15-0, 15-3, in the quarterfinals of the San Diego Section Division III girls’ volleyball playoffs. Michelle Rico led USDHS (20-2) with 18 kills and 10 aces and Rose Downing had 42 assists. Crawford finished 8-8.
In other Division III quarterfinal matches:
La Jolla d. Rancho Bernardo, 15-7, 15-8, 15-5: Leah Williams led La Jolla with 12 kills and Amber Felix added eight. Rancho Bernardo finished 11-15.
Madison d. West Hills, 15-13, 15-10, 15-3: Jill weeks had 13 kills to lead Madison (16-9). West Hills finished 6-17.
The Clairemont-Ramona match has been postponed until Tuesday.
