Mike Reinfeldt will quit as an associate athletic director at USC to become the chief financial adviser of the Green Bay Packers, the NFL team announced.
Reinfeldt, 37, a former Pro Bowl safety with the Houston Oilers and a native of Baraboo, Wis., will replace Tom Braatz as the Packers’ negotiator of player contracts and will supervise the team’s financial operations.
He is scheduled to join the Packers on Jan. 7.
Reinfeldt was chief financial officer of the Raiders in 1985-87 before going to USC, where he handled major negotiations, including television contracts.
