Future Voter
The future of America is in my hands. In just two short months, I will be 18 and given the opportunity to vote on major issues of this country. I will finally be a legal adult, an intelligent, responsible person whose one vote will make a significant difference in the outcome of the elections.
Yet, sometimes I wonder. Could my little contribution drastically alter the results? How can adults I look up to honestly tell me my one vote is so important when they themselves are just too busy to participate?
I do indeed represent the future of America, but sometimes I wonder if the future is something worth waiting for.
