Cuesta Pulls Out Water Polo Victory Over Golden West

Tokie Prainovic scored a goal from 10 meters out with 35 seconds left to play to give Cuesta College a 9-8 victory over Golden West in the Community College Southern California Regional water polo championship game at Belmont Plaza on Saturday.
Prainovic had three goals and teammate Alex Asta had two for Cuesta (24-1). Golden West (28-4) was led by Edvard Van Luijin, who had four goals, and Jason Mills, who had two.
It was a close game throughout. The score was tied at the end of the first (3-3) and third quarters (7-7) and at 8-8 before Prainovic’s last goal.
