Robby Gordon, who completed a difficult run in the Baja 1000 only 11 hours earlier, charged from sixth place to a narrow victory over Pete Halsmer in the Chevron GTO-GTU sports car race at Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Gordon, 21, spent nearly nine hours repairing his Ford off-road truck after rolling it Friday night during the run across the Mexican desert and finished the race at 5:30 a.m. PST.
