Carolco Pictures Inc.: The entertainment concern reported that third-quarter net income plunged 72% to $1.4 million from a year earlier. Revenue soared 151% to $90.6 million. The Los Angeles firm cited disappointing results from the domestic performance of two films, “Air America” and “Narrow Margin,” including higher-than-anticipated marketing costs. The firm also noted that its 47%-owned Live Entertainment enhanced results because of the strong success of the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie” home video, which has shipped 9 million units, “making it one of the biggest releases in video industry history.”
