Firms May Have to Adjust for Slower U.S. Growth: With the U.S. economy facing a number of serious problems, American companies may have to adjust their corporate strategies in light of slower domestic economic growth many executives anticipate for the 1990s, the Conference Board said. U.S. economic growth this decade will fall short of the 2.9% annual rate achieved during the 1980s, according to half the business leaders polled in a survey by the nonprofit business organization.
