WHEN, ALREADY? The freeze in counting Orange County’s absentee ballots, forced by a lawsuit over the state attorney general’s race, is proving nerve-racking for city council candidates. . . . In Anaheim, just 146 votes separate Miriam Kaywood and Irv Pickler. In Costa Mesa, the contest between Karen McGlinn and Jay Humphrey is so close--just 59 votes--that both have been invited to council sessions until one is declared the winner. . . . McGlinn says, “You get to the point where you just want the decision, whatever it is.”
