HUNTINGTON BEACH : Applications for Arts Board Taken

The city is now accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Allied Arts Board, a committee that advises the City Council on cultural matters.
The board is studying the development of a 11,000-square-foot center for visual arts, a location for a community theater and concert facilities in Central Park.
The term of office is four years, and the board meets on the first Tuesday of each month. The City Council appoints board members. The application deadline is next Friday. For information, call the city Arts and Cultural Affairs Division at (714) 536-5258.
