“Bid for the Kids” dinner-dance at Le Meridien Hotel in Newport Beach on Nov. 10 raised an estimated $155,000 for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Susan Reid and Sharon Bergeron were co-chairwomen.
“The Corporate Challenge Cup” at El Niguel Country Club in Laguna Niguel on Nov. 12 raised $20,000 for the American Cancer Society/Orange County Unit. Chris Massey was chairman.
The “Showboat Champagne Fest ‘90” at the Reuben E. Lee Restaurant in Newport Beach on Nov. 13 raised an estimated $30,000 for the Red Ribbon 100 women’s advisory council to the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross. Phyllis Shafer and Joy Owens were co- chairwomen.
“Novel Ideas” art auction at the Laguna Art Museum on Nov. 17 raised an estimated $35,000 for the Junior Council of the Laguna Art Museum. Mary Alexander was event chairwoman.
