The ‘Keating Five’

For those of us who have time to watch the Senate Ethics Committee in action for the “Keating Five,” some observations are in order.
1. Special Counsel Bennett has done his homework, which would seem to be both thorough and without bias. He would seem to have the facts on the matter before the committee.
2. Obstructionism seems to be the tactic to be employed by one or more of the (“defense”) counsels.
Finally, if you take one pound of lime and mix vigorously with three gallons of water, you have whitewash. Thin, perhaps, but whitewash nevertheless.
