New President of AIA Chapter

Ronald A. Altoon will become president of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects on Jan. 12, succeeding the one-year term of Raymond L. Gaio.
Altoon, 45, is a founding partner of Altoon & Porter Architects. The local AIA chapter is the association’s second largest with 2,200 members.
Richard A. Appel was chosen to become vice president and president-elect of the chapter earlier this month.
