Mideast Oil and U.S. Troops in Saudi Arabia
- Share via
President Bush sends messages to Hussein by sending almost half a million Americans to the desert. I am also sending a message to him. Instead of driving, I bike ride. Instead of two trips, I take one. Instead of going, I make a phone call. If all the people who want to see our troops not shed a drop of blood for oil were to cut their gas usage in half, that would send a message loud and clear. Not only would it be good for our polluted air, sagging middles and pinched pocketbooks, it would be good for our country.
Every time we start up our cars we should think of those sweating people in the desert who have had to leave their children. Is it worth a full tank of gas or the possibility of World War III?
