Four U.S. skiers were named to compete in World Cup nordic races in Europe next month. Coach John Estle named Audun Endestad, 37, Fairbanks, Alaska; Todd Boonstra, 28, Stratton, Vt.; Nancy Fiddler, 34, Crowley Lake, Calif., and Leslie Thompson, 27, Stowe, Vt. Estle said the team will leave for Europe on Friday and compete in the opening event Dec. 8-9 in Ramsau, Austria. The team has been training for two weeks at West Yellowstone, Mont.
David Ishii of Hawaii shot a 4-under-par 68 today to take a one-stroke lead over Brian Jones of Australia after the first round of the Nippon Series golf tournament at Nishinomiya, Japan.
