One hundred tons of snow in a play area for kids, nearly 200 gift booths, exhibits of handmade holiday crafts and foods, entertainment and Santa Claus are among the attractions of the fourth annual Del Mar Holiday Faire Friday through Sunday at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. all three days.
Visitors can also help build a 100-square-foot gingerbread house by decorating gingerbread tiles. Upon completion, the house will be submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records for designation as the “World’s Largest Gingerbread House.”
Carolers and continuous entertainment by school and church groups will be featured. Carnival games and rides for the children will also be available.
The fair is sponsored by the 22nd District Agricultural Assn.
