The Santa Monica-based Meals on Wheels will begin delivering hot lunches and cold dinners to Malibu shut-ins next week.
An official with the the nonprofit group said an agreement has been reached with Pepperdine University to prepare the meals and for Meals on Wheels volunteers in Malibu to deliver them.
“We have six volunteers already, and, of course, we’re looking for more,” said Meals on Wheels director Rosemary Regalbuto. “We’re very pleased to be able to start the service in Malibu.”
People interested in receiving or volunteering to deliver meals may call 394-5133, she said.
